Rock Paintings

The “Lake Huron Sprites” are a series of portrait paintings on stones emoted on the sandy shores of Lake Huron, Ontario at Canatara beach.

Hand picked by the artist all throughout the season, Taryn intuitively chooses rocks with smooth to porous textures to highlight the beauty of each stone. The portraits are not of anyone living and do not intentionally represent anyone.

The relationship we have to the elements and to the land which we grow up on are all themes relevant to the artist all throughout her paintings.
